The world’s most competitive motorsport
A paddock made up of 11 iconic teams with 22 world-class drivers.
All Formula E cars have the same chassis and batteries, meaning it’s the different manufacturer powertrains, individual team strategies and driver skill that make the difference.
The championship has seen 8 different champions in 9 seasons, with each Championship won in the final E-prix of the season.
Formula E can see more overtakes in 3 races than F1 does in an entire season.
Challenging the conventions of motorsport
Formula E cars are 100% electric with 0 emissions.
Drivers compete in the world’s first racing car purpose-built for tight, dramatic street circuits.
Race day schedules are action-packed, with practice, qualification and the race all on the same day.
Intense and entertaining races take place inside an hour, with laps varying based on track length.
Never seen before innovation
Drivers qualify for their race position through dramatic head-to-head knockout Duels, creating maximum drama before the race has even started.
Additional power can be unlocked by driving through Attack Mode activation zones on-track.
Fans have access to digital products optimised for engagement, with Predictor LIVE offering a gripping in-race gaming experience

The pinnacle of high performance, sustainability and efficiency.
The world’s first race car built for wheel-to-wheel street racing, the GEN3 regenerates up to 40% of it’s energy through braking and has a net zero carbon production and life cycle.

A technology and testing platform, unbound by sporting regulations, allowing us to ask, “what if?”
The first GENBETA project saw Formula E break the indoor land speed Guinness World Record by more than 50 km/h, reaching a top speed of 218.71km/h (135.9mph) on the indoor straight at the London ExCel race track.

Ensuring environmental excellence through a range of actions.
Ranked most sustainable sport by the Global Sustainability Benchmark in Sports.
Committed to becoming the first sport in the world to achieve B Corp status, by the end of 2024.
Race broadcasts are produced in London instead of temporary broadcast facilities at race, significantly saving on travel & shipping footprints.
A recognised leader
The only motorsport with ISO20121 certification.
All race teams 3* rated in the FIA Environmental Accreditation Programme.
First ever FIA championship to achieve FIA 3 star environmental accreditation.
EV Tech innovation
Accelerating race to road EV tech by developing the world’s most sustainable race cars.
Formula E manufacturer DS adapted the regenerative braking system from their Formula E race car to the DS 7 E-Tense 4x4 road vehicle for enhanced energy efficiency.
Findings on-track at Formula E also enabled Jaguar to give a 20km range increase to the Jaguar I-PACE electric vehicle.
Formula E engages with local communities through various projects, positively impacting more than 75k people to date.
Designed to support a charity in each of our race locations in a community, environmental or sustainability initiative, Formula E provides a grant and awareness exposure in order to create a local legacy beyond the race weekend.
Passionate about equality in motorsport, FIA Girls on Track has educated and inspired 2,500+ girls at races to explore careers in motorsport.
Now a fully global programme, Formula E is hosting a Girls on Track event in all 11 race markets in 2024, more than double compared to Season 9.
Highlighting our commitment to women representation, you will see a GoT participant taking part in every Formula E podium ceremony in S10.
